TV 2

An Advent calendar from outer space

In keeping with tradition, we have had the pleasure of producing this year’s Advent calendar for the Danish TV channel, TV 2 and their Christmas show ‘Kometernes Jul’.

It was, as always, a thrilling and challenging task in which we assisted with guidance on materials, formats, stamps, and artwork finishing. Almost all of our in-house competencies were brought into play in the production of among others display trays, stands, foliation, two separate inserts, the Advent calendar in itself, and of course lastly freight.

This year’s Christmas show

Watching this year’s TV 2 Christmas show, you will join a journey full of friendships, foreign planets, kind creatures, and of course a lot of Christmas cheer. The calendar follows four friends, Mie, Johannes, Elias, and Noor that are attending a two week course about space at a place called AstroCamp. The Advent calendar takes you on an incredible and cosmic journey.

The profit from this year’s calendar goes to the Christmas Seal Foundation homes in Denmark.

The story behind

Ever since the first TV 2 Christmas calendar came out in 1990, the profit of the sale has gone to the Christmas Seal Foundation homes. During the last 30 years, this has raised several millions and thus helped thousands of children in Denmark, giving them a refuge from a life filled with failure to thrive and creating a new beginning for them.

TV 2’s Advent calendar sponsors the Christmas Seal Foundation homes because no child deserves a life of loneliness and tummy aches. A stay at a Christmas Seal Foundation home helps children discover their strengths and build their self-esteem.
