Aarhuus Stiftsbogtrykkerie is founded
Aarhuus Stiftsbogtrykkerie is founded by journeyman printer Niels Lund. The first customers are the King, the Church, neighbourhood shops and the local newspaper, Aarhus Stiftstidende.

Aarhus Stiftstidende is sold
The company divests Aarhus Stiftstidende. Businessman Hans KiƦr buys Aarhuus Stiftsbogtrykkerie, which by this point is a well-recognised printing company employing 60 people.

Erik KiƦr takes over
Hans KiƦrs son, Erik KiƦr, takes over ownership and management of the company.

The Aarhuus Stiftsbogtrykkerie Foundation
The foundation "Aarhuus Stiftsbogtrykkeries Fond" is formed and owner Erik KiƦr transfers all his shares to the foundation. The aim of the foundation is to secure the long-term development of the company and its survival.

An information technology breakthrough
A partnership is formed with the American company Computer Composition Inc. The purpose is to optimise the technology employed in the production of large telephone directories. This results in a significant breakthrough in the use of information technology.

A fully digital production line
Stibo is one of the first companies in the world to reach a stage where it can manage data and print illustrations in four colours, producing catalogues and telephone directories in a fully digital production process.

Stibo Graphic established
Stibo Graphic, the group's large heatset printing department, is established in Horsens. As a result of a steadfast focus on quality and efficiency, Stibo Graphic becomes a major player in the European printing market within a very few years.

200 years
The group celebrates its 200-year jubilee and builds a new head office in Aarhus.

Bookbinding facilities
The group invests in one of the world's largest bookbinding facilities.

2000
The largest technology investment to date
One of the group's most extensive investments in technology is the purchase of a 96-page LithoMAN IV, a heatset press that is one of the world's largest printing machines.

From Aarhuus Stiftsbogtrykkerie to Stibo
The group changes name from Aarhuus Stiftsbogtrykkerie to Stibo and now consists of the following business areas:
Stibo Graphic: publishing solutions within print and electronic publishing
CCI Europe: editing, advertising and archiving systems for newspaper publishers around the world.
Stibo Catalogues: catalogue management and content management for the publication of print and electronic media.

The Stibo Foundation
Stibo's owner, Aarhuus Stiftsbogtrykkeries Foundation, changes name to The Stibo Foundation.

Color Print A/S and Scanprint A/S
Stibo acquires Color Print A/S and Scanprint A/S. Together with Stibo Graphic, Stibo's printing division is now the leading printing company in Scandinavia.

Stibo Graphic takes over Greentech Rotaprint and SkƄnsk Repro as part of the company's acquisition and consolidation strategy.
