Hay Festival

A total solution for the International Children's Literature Hay Festival in Aarhus

The International Children’s Literature Hay Festival was held in Denmark, and in view of Aarhus’ status as a 2017 City of Culture the venue was DOKK1. Crown Princess Mary opened the festival, which featured more than 150 different events.

Stibo Complete worked closely with the 2017 City of Culture to create a framework for the International Children’s Literature Hay Festival 2017, which was inaugurated with the aim of celebrating children’s and young people’s interest in writing and reading.

The main and quite considerable challenge of the project was to formulate the optimum framework for a children’s festival in a large public building. Stibo Complete came up with a total solution encompassing everything from outdoor signs to decorative elements, doorways, lecture room walls and pennants.

Stibo Complete also supplied all the printed materials that are traditionally handed out at such gatherings. For us, it was immensely satisfying to see the way a large variety of printed matter and other products came together to form a cohesive whole.
