Thorough preparation delivered the right result
At the About Hill exhibition you will discover two of the most important contemporary artists in the Nordic countries, Tal R and Mamma Andersson, with a series of brand new artworks centred on the great Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Hill.
In connection with the exhibition, Stibo Complete was contacted by Spine Studio in Copenhagen, who had been commissioned to help Kunsten in Aalborg produce a beautiful half-bound catalogue. And of course we wouldn’t say no to a job like that!
High demands on the choice of materials
To give the half-bound catalogue the right look and for the works to appear as desired, high demands were placed on our choice of materials. That’s why we chose various different materials in collaboration with the bookbinder for Kunsten in Aalborg to approve, along with tests of foil embossing and so on. We then received all the images for the catalogue and ran image processing and test prints, which Søs Bech Sharpe, curator at Kunsten, also examined and approved before printing began, and she joined us for this in Horsens.
To everyone’s delight, everything was approved with no issues ahead of printing, and the fantastic and thorough efforts to ensure quality were rewarded with a beautiful, professionally produced half-bound catalogue.
